What we love about Academy Road
This exclusive shopping district is formerly an old streetcar route. The road, built in 1903, was originally named for St. Mary’s Academy Catholic School for girls, which still anchors the east end of the strip today. Today it offers everything from designer shops to European shoes and quirky accessories. Here’s a quick rundown of the stores you can visit:
Margot + Maude began as a blog by two very fashion passionate women – Kelsey Steuart and April Matheson after many years of experience in retail and a thirst for knowledge about the industry. These tastemakers always know what is going on in fashion and decor. They regularly attend apparel shows and centres in Edmonton, Las Vegas, Vancouver, Montreal and Toronto and bring their carefully selected pieces and collections home home to Winnipeg for you to shop. If you are looking for relaxing women’s clothing or some unique home decor, definitely drop by Margot + Maude. Follow them on Instagram or check out their website.
